Tina was 15 when she started volunteering with the elderly, taking the bus from La Prairie to downtown Montreal. She'd sit next to the residents, listening to their stories, noticing their struggles, witnessing their need for connection. Those visits went beyond volunteering. They were her first real education in empathy and care.

Tina was learning what it meant to show up for people who needed someone to see them. She discovered something powerful: presence matters. Just being there, listening, caring—it changes everything.

That early exposure to caregiving planted something deep. She saw how much our elderly and vulnerable needed care, and how little appreciation the people providing that care received. She saw a system that was breaking, and refused to accept it as inevitable.

From Passion to Action

Over the years, Tina became known for her ability to organize large community events, making connections all over Montreal to rally support, and bring people together.

Tina learned through these experiences that change comes from teamwork, responsibility, and community involvement. Knowing there were others like her who couldn’t wait to make a change, she founded Tina’s Project to give back to those caregivers who pour their hearts and souls into helping others.
